Why yes, Alone Again Pt. 3 is still in production. A few things have been causing delays, like adjusting to a new microphone, my job, and rewrites.

Ugh, the rewrites.

The nature of the character from episode 4 of the original Alone meant that there was going to be a lot of work in the reimagining. Tom stayed pretty much the same, so I could get by with reusing a lot of episode 3, but in this case, I had to rewrite a lot of dialog while keeping a few 'classic jokes'. And then there was the recasting....

I'm still not totally happy with the script I've got, but I'm running with it. The audio is done and the filming is underway. I'll have more time to work on it this weekend, so part 3 isn't far away now.

Part 2 of Alone Again (Naturally) is available for download. It's nothing like the original episode 2 - in fact it's a remake of the original episode 3, but with some rewrites. The changes get more extreme from here out.

This one took longer than I had planned because of work, technical issues, and getting a new computer. My old computer - the one I had used to create just about every other video on this site - was getting rather old and needed to be put down. I bought a new machine that's capable of doing editing, capture work, and even running the games I use to make these videos.

I know, amazing isn't it?

I won't be able to film a game on this computer for a while still as the current project uses Halo 3, but I've already tried some test videos in Doom 3 and Sims 2. The results are promising so far.

EZF has been given a reprieve of sorts, we're sticking around for another year. Alone Again Part 2 is being worked on as I write this news post and should be up in the coming days.

The first part of a new miniseries from us at EZF is now online. Right now I'm calling it (Naturally) but that title will change a little for the next installment. Enjoy.

I regret to inform everyone that this site will be shutting down in December. My web hosting is coming up for renewal, and due to an incompetent president who can't tell an unemployment percentage from his approval rating, I'm currently out of a job and unable to pay for another year of hosting. So this is the end for now.

There should be at least one new thing before the end of the year that I think you'll all enjoy, and it's somewhat appropriate given the circumstances. The next update will be then unless I can find a job soon, in which case it will be a little sooner and there will be somewhat happy news.

...we just smell funny.

So, nothing else too major to report. I just figured almost half a year was long enough to not go without a news post.

Just as a reassurance (to the five people registered on the site who aren't on the staff) that we have not left the building. In fact, the new scripts are coming along great, and I think you guys will be really pleased with what we have coming out.

On that note, no official release date yet, as we're waiting for the new maps to get filming started, and then we'll start getting the videos out to you!

Of course, if you do want an official release date, start hounding Matt. Tell him I said hi!

Okay, so the first of many updates his here, and it's how the site looks. I'll be messing around a little with the overall look in the coming weeks/months and testing out some new features.

One thing you may have noticed is you can't login to your account. Sorry, that's my fault. When we went to version 2.0 of EZF I imported the database from when we were still on the phpBB forum. This caused quite a few problems with some of the older accounts, so everyone (including me) is starting fresh, as is the forum.

Not all of the downloads are back up yet, I'm working on that. Hopefully, before long the old downloads will be joined by some new ones.
